PAN-PONTIC ASSOCIATION THANKS ARMENIA FOR RECOGNIZING THE GENOCIDE OF PONTIC GREEKS

ATHENS, 31 MARCH, ARMENPRESS. The Greece-based Pan-Pontian Association
has issued a statement and has expressed its gratitude for the adoption
by the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia of a draft law
on recognizing the genocide of Pontic Greeks and Assyrians.
As "Armenpress" reports, the statement reads that the recognition and
condemnation by the National Assembly of Armenia of the genocide of
the Greeks and Assyrians in the Ottoman Empire between 1915 and 1923
is the best evidence of the close cooperation between Pontic Greeks
and the fraternal Armenian people. The Association also emphasizes
that the two nations must continue the joint struggle to have the
international community recognize and condemn the genocide of Christian
nations (Armenians, Greeks and Assyrians).
