YE REVAN, JUNE 28, NOYAN TAPAN. During a regular "NATO Week" held in
Armenia within the framework of Armenia's Individual Partnership Action
Plan (IPAP) with NATO, the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA)
organized for the second time a Yerevan-Pristina television bridge for
Armenian peacekeepers in Kosovo and their families. NT was informed by
the RA MFA Press and Information Department that the embassies of
Greece and the United States in Armenia greatly supported in the
organization of the TV bridge on June 27.

At the beginning of the TV bridge, the RA foreign minister Edward
Nalbandian's welcoming speech to Armenian peacekeepers was
demonstrated. Then NATO Assistant Secretary General on Public Diplomacy
Jean-Francois Bureau and the US Charge D'Affaires in Armenia Joseph
Pennington made speeches of welcome, thanking the peacekeepers and
wishing them success in their further peacekeeping mission. They
positively assessed the RA National Assembly's May 12, 2008 decision to
double the number of peacekeepers, saying that it will contribute to
strengthening Armenia-NATO cooperation.
