"ARMENTEL" TO EXPAND THE GEOGRAPHY OF 3G SERVICES BY THE END OF 2009

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ "ArmenTel" (brand Beeline) plans to expand the
geography of 3G services, CEO of ArmenTel Igor Klimko told a press
conference in Yerevan. " By the end of this year we will double
the capacity 3G network, connecting f Vanadzor, Gyumri, Jermuk and
Ashtarak to the network, " he said.
The company intends to make investments to establish additional
stations in those cities. On September 26, 2008 "ArmenTel" announced
the commercial launch of its first network of the third generation -
3G in Armenia.
New services will increase the speed of data transmission for mobile
users connected to the service, GPRS, as well as make video calls
within the network.
