    29.12.2011

On December 28 took place the summarized press conference of the
NKR Prime Minister Ara Haroutyunyan. First the Prime Minister spoke
briefly about the government activity, social-economic and political
issues of the republic during the passing year, and then answered
    the journalists' questions.

In answer to a journalist's question about the operation of
Stepanakert's airport Prime Minister answered that both construction
and equipping works are completed; the only problem is the lack
of airplane, which will be acquired by the donation of Armenian
benefactors soon, they will assist the retraining of pilots as well.

To the question about the presidential elections in 2012 Prime Minister
gave the following answer; "If the acting president puts forward his
candidature our party will definitely support him".

Head of the government gave explanation to the adoption of the
law on citizenship; this question is on the agenda, yet there are
political problems that impede the turnover of the law draft. By
Ara Haroutunyan's words criminal-executive establishments, with the
assumption of the present experiment of Armenia, will continue to
function under the administration of Police service.

    >From ailing problems of the Republic Ara Haroutunyan marked out
    the housing problems. Much work has been done in this direction;
new mechanisms are developed for mortgage lending. In agriculture,
    as well, programs are underway.

By request of the journalists the Prime Minister touched upon the
problems of resettlement, construction of HPSs and mine industry. The
journalists inquired about the Prime Minister's comment on the
viewpoint expressed lately in the mass media that the mines in Armenia
and Artsakh are exhausted the mining is carried out inexorable,
which violates ecological norms. A.Haroutunyan noted that in Artsakh
it doesn't correspond to the facts. Researches testify that mine of
Drmbon is very rich and metal mining is realized in compliance with
    the required norms.

At the end of the conference head of the government thanked the
journalist for interesting questions and congratulating them on the
coming Christmas and New Year wished them all the best.
