ARMENIAN NATIONAL BOXING TEAM TO TAKE PART IN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP IN MILAN

YEREVAN, AUGUST 31, NOYAN TAPAN. The Boxing World Championship is
being held in the Italian city of Milan between August 28 to September
13. The following boxers from the Armenian National Boxing team
take part in the competition for medals: current champions of Europe
Hovhannes Danielian (48 kg), Edward Hambardzumian (64 kg), winner of
bronze medal in Olympiad of Beijing, Hrachya Jabakhian from Vanadzor
(60 kg), holder of World Cup Andranik Hakobian from Etchmiadzin (75
kg), silver medal winner in European Championship Tsolak Ananikian
(91 kg), Champion of European Junior and Youth Championships Samvel
Matevosian from Vanadzor (69 kg), double winner of gold medal in
European Youth Championship Azat Hovhannisian from Ayntap (57 kg),
and Derenik Gizhlarian from Etchmiadzin (51 kg).

Chairman of Armenian Boxing Federation Arman Muradian, Deputy Chairman
Derenik Gabrielian, doctor of the team Hamlet Begoyan, referee Suren
Ghazarian, chief coach of the team Rafael Mehrabian and trainer Karen
Aghamalian are in the staff of the delegation.
