GUL HOPES FOR TURKISH-ARMENIAN RECONCILIATION

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Turkish President Abdullah Gul said Wednesday that
his recent visit to Armenia took place to create a new climate between
Turkey and Armenia.
Speaking to reporters at a reception held at the Cankaya Palace to
celebrate the Turkish Republic Day, President Gul said that "the new
climate will eradicate problems in relations with Armenia."
"Everyone must support this climate. I am hopeful. I expect good
developments," Gul said, the Anatolian News Agency reports.
Gul was in Yerevan on September 6 to watch a World Cup qualifier
between the Armenian and Turkish national soccer teams.
Before the match, Presidents of Armenia and Turkey said their meeting
will encourage a dialogue between the two countries.
