ITALIA-ARMENIA: FRATTINI MEETS OKSANIAN, SME IMPORTANT
(AGI) - Rome, Italy, Oct.18 - Foreign Affairs Minister Franco
Frattini met in Rome his Armenian counterpart Vartan Oskanian.
Undersecretary Margherita Boniver attended the meeting too. The
discussed issues were international topics such as the crises in the
Middle East and Iraq, the UN reform, the EU enlargement process and
the situation in Caucasus. The two ministers - reports a statement -
want to enhance their good bilateral relations, through better SME
cooperation. Oskanian's visit to Italy is part of the latter's
"increased dialogue" process with Caucasus area countries, started
off by Frattini's visit to Tbilisi last June and in Azerbaijan in
October. The recent EU decision to extend its "neighbouring" policies
to the Caucasus area considerably strengthens relations with the
