    Thu Jan 10, 2008 4:55pm EST

TORONTO, Jan 10 (Reuters) - Dundee Precious Metals (DPM.TO: Quote,
Profile, Research) said on Thursday that one miner had been killed
and one injured in an accident at its majority-owned Shahumyan
    underground gold mine in Armenia.

Dundee said the accident happened on Wednesday, and that the injured
worker has been receiving medical attention. The mine is owned by
Deno Gold Mining, a 95-percent owned subsidiary of Toronto-based
    Dundee.

Dundee said the affected area of the mine has been isolated and the
company, together with the Armenian National Centre of Technical
Security, is investigating the incident. (Reporting by Cameron
