    Representatives of Azerbaijan taking part in international conference
    in Yerevan

    Yerevan hosts an international conference "Expanded Black Sea region.
    Prospects of international and regional security".



    The conference is arranged by the Armenian International Police
    Research Group (AIPRG) under support of NATO, OSCE, Union of Yerevan
    State University Graduates and embassy of Netherlands.

    "We attach a special importance to the arrangement of such an
    international conference in Yerevan", AIPRG chief executive Tigran
    Mkrtchan said during the opening.

    According to him, the conference aims to encourage discussions on the
    expansion of the Black Sea region by involving famous scientists,
    representatives of research centers, working and former political
    figures and large groups of the world, concerned with this issue.

    The conference is attended by the CE Special Representative on the
    South Caucasus Peter Semneby, former co-chairman of the OSCE Minsk
    Group for Nagorno-Garabagh conflict settlement, ambassador Vladimir
    Kazimirov, as well as the working co-chairman of the OSCE Minsk Group
    Metthew Bryza, representing the United States.

    Among participants there are also representatives of the Royal
    Institute of International Relations and International Institute of
    Strategic Researches (Great Britain), Reuters news agency, RAND
    corporation, Brookings Institute, Center of International Strategic
    Researches, American Institute Enterprise, Jamestown foundation, US
    Department of State, British Department of External Affairs and CE.

    The conference is attended by representatives of Turkey, Romania,
    Greece, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Russia.
