HEAD OF TAX SERVICE UNIT ARMEN OHANIAN ARRESTED ON CHARGE OF HOOLIGANISM

YEREVAN, JANUARY 16, NOYAN TAPAN. The Special Investigation Service
on January 16 arrested Armen Ohanian, the head of 9th unit of the
Operative Investigation Department of the State Tax Service adjunct to
the RA government, on suspicion of committing hooliganism with the use
of arms, NT correspondent was informed by the Special Investigation
Service.
According to information of preliminary investigation, on December
27 A. Ohanian showed obvious contempt for street vendors and buyers
at 117 Arehestavorneri Street (Yerevan), disturbed public order by
using his "Makarov" pistol and commiting an act of violence against
a resident of house No 117. Based on the application of the victim,
a criminal case was opened under the RA Criminal Code's Article 258
Part 4. Investigation is underway.
