14 LOCAL AND 4 INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS ACCREDITED IN CEC AS OBSERVERS UP TO PRESENT

YEREVAN, JANUARY 24, NOYAN TAPAN. In total, 6928 representatives
of 14 local NGOs and 4 international organizations, OSCE/ODIHR,
OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, CIS Executive Committee, and the
Interparliamentary Assembly have been accredited in RA Central
Electoral Commission (CEC) as of January 23 for the purpose of
carrying out an observation mission in the February 19 presidential
elections. NT correspondent was informed about it by Tatev Ohanian,
the CEC Spokesperson.
Six out of the 14 local organizations have been accredited in the
last 21 days. They are Syunik Civil Society Development Center
(80 observers), Youth Scientific-Cultural Center (43 observers),
Association of Women with University Education (206 observers),
Apaven (210 observers), Unison (13 observers), Helsinki Committee of
Armenia (153 observers). The deadline of observers' accreditation is
February 9.
