the sides touched upon international and regional developments,
implementation of the RA Actions Plan within the framework of the
European Neighborhood Policy, cooperation of the two countries at
international organizations and issues related to development of
bilateral and many-sided cooperation in the Black Sea region.

the neighbors, developments in the direction of Nagorno Karabakh and
    Kosovo problems were exchanged.

Touching upon the results registered in the recent years in
Armenian-Bulgarian bilateral political, economic, scientific and
cultural spheres, the interlocutors reached concrete agreements in
the direction of implementation of a number of new programs.

    A. Bayburdian gave a public lecture under the title "Armenia's
European Policy" the same day at the Diplomatic Institute attached
to the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry. An agreement was reached with
the Diplomatic Institute's management to organize retraining courses
for Armenian diplomats in Sofia and lectures with participation of
    Bulgarian specialists in Yerevan.

On January 24, A. Bayburdian met with Nikolay Vasilyev, the Bulgarian
State Government Minister, the Co-chairman of the Armenian-Bulgarian
Intergovernmental Commission. Touching upon problems of trade and
economic relations, the sides attached importance to the agreements
reached during Bulgarian Prime Minister Sergei Stanishev's visit to
Armenia in November 2007, discussed the details of organization of a
business forum in the current year in Bulgaria and holding of the next
sitting of the Armenian-Bulgarian Intergovernmenal Commission in Sofia.

An agreement to organize retrainings of RA servicemen in Bulgaria
from 2008 with financing of the Bulgarian side was reached. From
