BENEFITS FOR SOLE MOTHERS WILL NOT INCREASE

The monthly benefit the government pays to children of sole mothers
remains 5000 drams. The benefit for sole mothers is as much. We have
learned from the ministry of social security that the benefits will
not increase in 2008.
The benefit for disabled children under 18 years has increased from
7000 to 8500 drams. Children who have lost one of their parents will
get 10 thousand instead of 5 thousand. Parentless children will get
20 thousand instead of 10 thousand drams.
The benefit for children of families which have four and more children
has gone up from 4500 to 5500 drams.
The children of disabled people of the 1st and 2nd degree used to
get 4500 drams. From this year the children of disabled people of
1st degree will get 9000 drams, 2nd degree 5500 drams.
Mothers having children under 2 will get 4500 drams, children under
1 year will get 6000 drams instead of 4500 drams.
