RENOWNED JOURNALIST, PUBLICIST AND WRITER IRINA MOSESOVA DIED IN MOSCOW

On January 21 Irina Mosesova, renowned journalist, publicist and
writer, died in Moscow. Irina was born and lived most part of her
life in Baku and worked for the leading magazines and publishing
houses of Soviet Azerbaijan.
When the events of Karabakh began, Irina Mosesova gathered materials
about the pogroms and persecution of Armenians in Soviet Azerbaijan. In
1998 her book "Armenians of Baku: Genesis and Exodus" came out in
Yerevan. It is the most detailed survey of the events of Baku in
January 1990 by far.
