6 HIGH-RANKING OFFICIALS OF FOREIGN MINISTRY JOIN

Today another six high-ranking officials of the ministry of foreign
affairs have joined yesterday's statement of the ambassadors and the
deputy minister of foreign affairs. The six high-ranking officials are:
the press secretary of the foreign ministry Vladimir Karapetyan,
Varsenik Baghdasaryan, head of the department of the UN of the
administration of international organizations, Karine Afrikyan, head of
the department of America and Canada, Martha Aivazyan, head of the
department of NATO of the administration of arms and security, Arakel
Semerjyan, advisor of the department of Europe and the second secretary
of the department of South America of the administration of America
Helen Peteyan.
Levon Ter-Petrosyan says this is what he had said that in our
government agencies mostly honest and educated people work, and only
their bosses serve the bandit state. He says the same is about the
police and the other security agencies.
Levon Ter-Petrosyan says such a statement is viewed as highly important
in the world. According to him, in developed countries it seldom
happens, once in four of five years an ambassador may voice
disagreement with the government, and the ambassador becomes a hero.
The first president says he thinks we must be proud of all the people
who have stated to joint the popular movement.
Levon Ter-Petrosyan appealed to the participants of the rally to chant
the names of the figures who have been arrested today: Gagik, Aram,
Smbat. He said those who are arrested for joining the system are
heroes, and among them are the `potential detainees', and he already
feels competitiveness among young people, Levon Ter-Petrosyan added in
a joke.
As to the high-ranking officials of the ministry of foreign affairs who
have joined the movement, Levon Ter-Petrosyan says it would be the last
scream of frustration with humanity if Vardan Oskanyan does not join
the popular movement. He said in case Vardan Oskanyan joins, he will
repent for his sins of the past 10 years, otherwise he will be
neglected by people.
