"WE WILL CREATE SUCH A SITUATION THAT IT WILL BE FOLLY FROM THEIR SIDE TO USE FORCE", TER-PETROSIAN STATED

    February 26, 2008

    Yerevan /Mediamax/. Ex-President Levon Ter-Petrosian voiced accusations
against the Armenian President Kocharian and Prime Minister Serzh
Sarkisian, who was elected President during the elections of February
    19. Mediamax reports that, commenting in the interview, published
today in the Russian "Gazeta", on the possibility of development of
events according to a force scenario, Levon Ter-Petrosian stated:
"Serzh Sarkisian and Robert Kocharian, I think, dream that we take the
path you are talking about. This will not happen. We will create such
a situation that it will be folly from their side to use force. They
are not fools and are not insane. They can also count. Why would Robert
Kocharian take upon himself responsibility for blood? He already has
sufficient amount of it. He is an outgoing President.

He is thinking about the history. And suddenly to do something of that
kind during the last month of his rule - no, he is not a fool". The
Ex-President also stated that "Serzh Sarkisian sees: the people hates
him". "Even those, who serve him, also hate him. All his oligarchs,
who are known in Armenia not by their names, but by their nicknames,
hate him even more that the ordinary citizens. And Serzh knows two
    more things.

He knows that his power is not legitimate. And he knows that Robert's
whole baggage, the same October 27 of 1999, the same corruption,
is also his, Serzh's baggage. And to add blood to this? How will he
rule after that? How will he try to reach obedience? See, the system
is already broken", the Ex-President stated.
