    Noyan Tapan
    April 2, 2008

YEREVAN, April 2. /ARKA/. Armenia's economy is dynamically developing
now, Gagik Minasyan, Republican MP and chairman of Armenian National
Assembly's standing financial committee, said on Wednesday.

In his words, Armenia's economic growth has reached record high in
the last decade and outdone not only emerging countries, but also
the East and the West Europe.

In his opinion this was due to effective policy and comprehensive
    reforms.

As convincing evidence of this intensive growth, Minasyan pointed out
the fact that the present state budget has outdone the GDP recorder
    a decade ago.

He also said that the country will develop also throughout the
follow-up decade and stand in a row of European countries.

    Armenia's economic growth was recorded at 5.9% in 2000, 9.6% in 2001,
    13.2% in 2002, 14% in 2003, 10.5% in 2004, 14% in 2005, 13.4% in 2006
    and 13.7% in 2007.

The economic growth is planned to b recorded at 10% in 2008.

Per-capita GDP reached $2844 in 2007, while in 2000 it was at $593,
    $659.3 in 2001, $739.9 in 2002, $874.1 in 2003, $1112.8 in 2004,
    $1523.7 in 2005 and $1989 in 2006.
