'COLOR REVOLUTION' EPOCH NOT OVER IN POST-SOVIET AREA

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Yerevan disorders proved that the epoch of 'color
revolutions' is not over in the post-soviet area, said an expert at
    the Strategic Culture Fund.

"People used to say that the epoch of color revolutions finished after
the 'velvet revolutions' in Georgia and Ukraine and 'tulip revolution'
in Kyrgyzstan. The events in Armenia proved the opposite," Andrey
Areshev said during presentation of "Orange networks: from Belgrade
    to Bishkek" book.

The Yerevan disorders were "the result of unresolved social problems
and excessive influence from outside," according to him.

Commenting of the influence of foreign countries, Areshev said that
"numerous NGOs in Armenia are sponsored from abroad and, consequently,
are pushing the interests of their sponsors."

"This is especially topical because Armenia is Russia's military
and political ally in the Caucasus while the pressure is targeted at
creation of a solid NATO zone," he said, RIA Novosti reports.
