    CONSEQUENCES OF ARMENIAN GENOCIDE

The consequences of Armenian Genocide are the sharpest problems
in the Republic of Armenia, said Armen Ayvazyan, the director of
"Ararat" strategic center, in a conference, today. "The recognition
of Armenian Genocide is treated as a question of morality. But it is
not the way it should to be. It is a question of security," he said
and added that it should be a part of the strategic plan.

According to him after the declaration of independence Armenia has
adopted the policy drafted in the Soviet Union. "In this new age that
policy leads us to blockade as it is an old one," he said and notified
that the direct continuation of the Armenian Genocide is the Karabakh
conflict, Turkish blockade and the denial of diplomatic relations.

"What we do have today is a range of recognitions of Genocide which
gives nothing to this question and its final salvation and do not
touch upon Armenian-Turkish relations," said Ajvazyan.
