FIRST SESSION OF NEW MEMBERSHIP OF NATIONAL SECURITY COUNCIL TAKES PLACE

YEREVAN, JUNE 13, ARMENPRESS: The first session National Security
Council, with its new membership, was conducted today chaired by the
head of the council Armenian President Serzh Sargsian.
Presidential press service told Armenpress that before passing to
the agenda the president pointed out that he gives a great importance
to the active work of the institution and its role in the process of
adoption of important decisions for the country.
Among many issues the participants of the council discussed the pace
of implementation of the 1609 resolution of PACE on activity of the
Armenian democratic institutions.
The president also informed the members of the council about the
meeting with President of Russia Dmitri Medvedev and Azerbaijani
President Ilham Aliyev in Saint Petersburg.
