WEIGHTLIFTERS OF ARMENIA RECEIVE 10 MEDALS IN WORLD YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP

The World Weightlifting Youth Championship finished in the city of
Cali of Columbia on June 22. Two more representatives of Armenia
were decorated with medals. Sevak Sahakian (105 kg, Kasakh) took
third place with the 376 kg result of the biathlon (165 kg + 211 kg)
and was awarded a bronze medal. Ruben Alexanian (+105 kg, Ararat)
took second place with the 412 kg result of the biathlon (185 kg +
227 kg) and was decorated with a silver medal. Thus, all the four
delegates of Armenia, in general, received 10 medals (7 silver and
3 bronze) in the World Youth Championship.
