IN ALL LIKELIHOOD ARAYIK HOVHANNISIAN TO REPLACE VLADIMIR BALAYAN AT
NATIONAL ASSEMBLY

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 4, NOYAN TAPAN. A change is envisaged in the
National Assembly "Republican Party of Armenia" (RPA) faction soon in
connection with the appointment of NA deputy Valdimir Balayan as
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Turkmenistan by a
decree of the Armenian president. In 2007 V. Balayan was elected a NA
deputy by the proportional electoral system from the RPA electoral list
so he will be replaced by the person next on the party's electoral list
- Arayik Hovhannisian, a member of the RPA, chairman of the Association
of Aldermen of Armenia.
