ARFD REPRESENTATIVE: OUR ACTIONS MET ARMENIA'S INTERESTS

ArmInfo. ARF Dashnaksutyun acted within the frames of the coalition
agreement and provisions of the national security strategy of Armenia
when it held protest actions on the day of Turkish President Abdullah
Gul's visit to Armenia, Vice Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly
Hrayr Karapetyan said, Tuesday.
According to him, the radical opposition stated that being a
member of the political coalition, ARFD violated the coalition
agreement. 'The official strategy of Armenia's security contains
the issue of recognition of the Armenian Genocide. This means that
ARFD's actions met our state's interests', Karapetyan stressed. He
thanked all the participants in the protest action 'who didn't miss
the chance and once again confirmed our requirements'. Touching upon
the opposition's behavior about this issue, Karapetyan noted that he
was asked by a citizen: 'Why weren't the opposition's rallies stopped
on April 24 and why were the rallies called off in connection with
the Turkish president's visit?'.
