HEAD OF ARMENIAN CENTRAL ELECTORAL COMMISSION ELECTED CHAIRMAN OF EUROPEAN ASSOCIATION OF ELECTORAL BODIES

ArmInfo. The delegation of Armenian Central Electoral Commission,
invited by Permanent electoral Commission of Romania and ACEEE, has
taken part in the 17th annual international conference ACEEEO held
in Romania on 11-13 September.
As press-secretary of Armenian CEC Tatev Ohanyan told ArmInfo, over
the conference they discussed several issues regarding security at
conducting elections. In particular, the role of the law-enforcement
agencies in the matter of ensuring security at elections, ensuring
guarantees when making specific election lists, etc.
A decision was adopted at the conference to hold the next ACEEEO
conference in Armenia. The head of Armenian Central Electoral
Commission Garegin Azaryan was elected chairman of ACEEEO for a year.
