WILL GAGIK BEGLARYAN SPEAK AT THE MATENADARAN?

    A1+
    [07:48 pm] 23 September, 2008

It is still unclear as to whether or not Kentron community head
candidate and current district head Gagik Beglaryan's rally will take
place at the Matenadaran. The Kentron quarter municipality promised
to inform "A1+" later. It should be noted that on September 16 Gagik
Beglaryan's authorized representative appealed to the Yerevan city
council to hold a mass public campaign event near the Matendaran on
September 26. The Yerevan city council discussed the appeal, denied
it and offered to hold the event today, September 23, at the same
place and at the same time.

In addition, another Kentron community head candidate Ararat Zurabyan
also appealed to hold a pre-electoral campaign event on September
    26. The Yerevan city council also denied this appeal and instead
of that offered to hold the rally on September 26 near the "Dinamo"
stadium or on September 22 near the Matenadaran. Kentron community
head candidate Ararat Zurabyan told "A1+" that they had sent an
additional appeal to the city council asking to hold the event near
"Moscow" cinema and that appeal is currently being discussed.

Let us add that the Yerevan city council also denied the appeal sent
by Artak Zeynalyan who is the authorized representative of first
president Levon Ter-Petrosyan and head of the "Republic" party's
political council Aram Sargsyan. Zeynalyan had appealed to hold a
rally near the Matenadaran, but the city council offered to hold the
rally near the southern section of the "Hrazdan" stadium.

"They're making fun of us. It is obvious that we are not going to
accept the offer", told "A1+" representative of the Pan-Armenian
movement Levon Zurabyan. "We are currently discussing how to hold
    the rally."
