The Grand Armenian Festival promises a full weekend of food,

to writer William Saroyan, whose birth 100 years ago in Fresno is
    being celebrated throughout 2008.

kebabs, kufteh (Armenian meatballs) and burek (Armenian puff pastries).

Entertainment includes a Saroyan theatrical presentation by the
theater arts department at Fresno State, a performance by the San
Fernando Valley Hamazkayin Nairie Armenian Folk Dance Group, live
    music and children's programs.
