RA PRESIDENT RECEIVES PARTICIPANTS OF 25th SITTING OF COUNCIL OF HEADS OF CIS SECURITY AND SPECIAL SERVICES BODIES

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 22, NOYAN TAPAN. RA President Serzh Sargsyan
considering the sittings of Council of Heads of CIS Security and
Special Services Bodies very useful, attached importance to them from
point of view of information, exchange of experience, working out
and implementation of joint actions against dangerous phenomena. He
stated this at the October 22 meeting with the participants of the
sitting of Council of Heads of CIS Security and Special Services
Bodies held in Yerevan. According to S. Sargsyan, security bodies'
regular contacts contribute to elaboration and implementation of
events consonant with the current threats.

As Noyan Tapan was informed by the RA President's Press Office,
General Alexander Bortnikov, the Chairman of the Council of Heads of
CIS Security and Special Services Bodies, the head of the RF Security
Federal Service, briefly presented the issues discussed during the
Council's 25th jubilee sitting. It was mentioned that they are mainly
of anti-terrorist nature and their aim is to provide a high level of
coordinated actions and cooperation.

Formation of proper normative-legal field was considered important
for efficient work.
