CATHOLICOS OF ALL ARMENIANS LEAVES FOR INDIA

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 4, ARMENPRESS: His Holiness Catholicos of All
Armenians Karekin II left today for India where he will be hosted
by the primate of the Indian Malankara Orthodox Sister Church, His
Holiness Baselios Marthoma Didymos the First. The Armenian Patriarch
will chair the celebrations dedicated to the 300th anniversary of
foundation of St. Nazareth Armenian Church in Calcutta.
During the visit the Catholicos will also consecrate St. Virgin Mary
Armenian Church in Madras. The delegation headed by Karekin II will
also visit a number of other Armenian churches. In Calcutta the
Armenian Patriarch will also visit Armenian Humanitarian seminary
functioning under the sponsorship of the Holy See of St. Etchmiadzin.
