VATICAN RECOGNIZES ARMENIAN GENOCIDE AS FACT

Vatican recognizes Armenian Genocide as a fact. "Armenian Genocide is
not an accusation, it's the reality. It is indisputable. This is a
historic fact with thousands victims. I don't know what Vatican can
do to improve Armenian-Turkish relations. Catholic Church supports
victims first of all. It is an important principle for us to clarify
our position," announced Cardinal Walter Casper.
Note that Aram I, Catholicos of Cilicia of Armenian Apostolic Church
has recently met with Benedictos 16th. The Pope has confirmed their
position in the question of Armenian Genocide.
