RA NA Speaker Mr Hovik Abrahamyan sent congratulatory message to
Hovhannes Chekidjian on the occasion of his 80th birthday.
"Honourable Maestro!
I warmly congratulate you on the occasion of your 80th
birthday. Invaluable is your contribution in the cultural life of the
Republic of Armenia. Through decades the academic choir headed by you
presented the Armenian singing art in Armenia and outside Armenia,
entirely serving to advocating the true art and making the people
participants of the most important thing - world of beauty.
The performances of the best works of the Armenian and world music
became the wealth of all of us thanks to you and the choir headed
by you.
I congratulate you once again and wish you strength and vigour,
happiness and new creative successes."
