WHAT ARRANGEMENTS ARE FORESEEN IN NEW YEAR'S DAY?

What holiday arrangements are expected in connection of New Year's day?
During the consultation taken place at the mayor Vazgen Michaelyan
a commission of organizing New Year's Day's celebrations has been
created, which should regulate all the arrangements organizing at
municipal level. As the chief of the department of culture, youth
and tourism of municipality K. Kocharyan has informed, the program of
complex arrangements are in the stage of development, by which it is
foreseen to meet 2009 with dignity. Beginning of arrangements will
be heralded by ceremony of solemn lighting of the main fir-tree's
lights, during which a 30 minutes program is foreseen. The holiday
concert will take place on december 31st, at 19:00, in Veratsnund
square. By another information of the department, on December 28-30
and 4-5 holiday arrangements are foreseen for all the schoolchildren
and children under school age of the capital, they will take place
in NKR Palace of culture and youth and Santa-Claus will give all the
children presents.
