FIRST SECRETARY OF THE COMMUNIST PARTY ASSESSES THE DOMESTIC POLITICAL SITUATION

The First Secretary of the Communist Party of Armenia, Ruben Tovmasyan,
today spoke about the domestic political situation in Armenia and
Europe's steps.
"Europe has historically demonstrated its attitude towards Armenia,
and it has never been comforting," Ruben Tovmasyan told a press
conference in Yerevan. He said to be seriously concerned about the
security of the Armenian citizen. Mr. Tovmasyan considers that the
domestic political situation in the country remains strained.
"The economic and political crisis in the country is deepening. The
education and science are destroyed. Europe, the West, cannot affect
the situation, only Armenian authorities can," he said.
