ArmInfo. The latest appointment of Yerevan Mayor showed how weak
is the legal field in Armenia, Leader of opposition Heritage party,
parliamentarian Raffi Hovhannisian told media at the National Assembly
Monday.
He called it an anti-legal and anti-constitutional step by the
authorities.
'Hereby the president of Armenia predetermined the forthcoming election
of Yerevan Mayor', Hovhannisian said. 'After such appointment, I no
longer hope that we will be able to ensure full conduct of the upcoming
elections, which is extremely necessary for the Yerevan citizens',
he added.
