Armenia's Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan today received Perch
Sedrakyan, President of the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU).

The Prime Minister noted that the results of accomplishment of the
agreements reached during the previous meeting with Mr. Sedrkayn are
inspiring. The Head of the Armenian Government expressed gratitude to
the AGBU and personally Perch Sedrakyan for the programs implemented
in the Motherland. According to Tigran Sargsyan, the programs are
important today since they help weaken the negative influence of the
global financial-economic crisis.

AGBU President Perch Sedrakyan is aconvinced that the Union's
activity should primarily focus on the Motherland, since the programs
implemented in the Motherland contribute to the solution of problems
in the Diaspora.

During the conversation Tigran Sargsyan and Perch Sedrakyan spoke
about maintaining the Diaspora potential, the unification of Diaspora
Armenians around national objectives, combination of efforts of the
Armenian state, the Church, the benevolent and other organizations
for the solution of educational and other issues.
