ARMENTEL AND THE AGRARIAN-PEASANT UNION OF ARMENIA SIGN A MEMORANDUM OF COOPERATION

The Director General of the ArmenTel CJSC, Neicho Velichkov, and the
President of the Agrarian-Peasant Union of Armenia, Hrachya Berberyan
signed a Memorandum on Startegic Cooperation. The document envisages
cooperation in the technological, service and social spheres.
"One of the utmost objectives of economic development today is the
overcoming of the economical polarization in Armenia. Being a leader
in the field of telecommunication, ArmenTel attaches great importance
to the development of the region, including the rural communities.
"Those who are interested in the development of rural areas, should
realize the importance of telecommunication both for gaining new
knowledge and raising the effectiveness of cooperation inside and
outside the community. I'm sure that the cooperation with ArmenTel
will help us, members of the largest agrarian union in Armenia,"
Hrachya Berberyan stressed.
In this period within the framework of the cooperation between
ArmenTel and the Agrarian-Peasant Union of Armenia it is envisaged to
support the farmers with telecommunication programs, contribute to the
reinforcement of ties between farmer communities through organization
of meetings all over Armenia.
