HEAD OF PARLIAMENTARY COMMISSION FOR DEFENSE, NATIONAL SECURITY AND INTERNAL AFFAIRS STILL REFUSES FROM HIS POSITION

Head of the Parliamentary Commission for Defense, National Security
and Internal Affairs, a member of the ARF Dashnaktsutyun Party,
Artur Aghabekyan, has sent in his resignation.
The National Assembly press-service told ArmInfo A. Aghabekyan also
refuses to head the Armenian Delegation to NATO PA. Earlier on April 27
ARFD declared its withdrawal from the ruling coalition. Afterwards the
ARFD representatives refused from their positions in the parliament
and the government. However, Parliamentary Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan
proposed the heads of parliamentary commissions Armen Rustamyan and
Artur Aghabekyan not to leave their positions. The ARFD representatives
accepted the proposal.
