On May 4, the new member of the Armenian delegation to PACE Zaruhi
Postanjyan, who replaced Raffi Hovhannisyan at this post, presented
to the reporters some details on the PACE April session which was
the first one for Zaruhi Postanjyan.

In particular, dwelling on the session of the PACE monitoring group,
she said that the discussion of the Armenian question at this session
lasted over 20 minutes, in the course of which the head of the Armenian
delegation to PACE Davit Harutunyan addressed the session and Zaruhi
Postanjyan had an opportunity for a speech of 5 minutes. The content
of Postanjyan's speech differed from that of Harutunyan and in case
Harutunyan dwelt on the positive process of the implementation of
the PACE resolutions, Zaruhi Postanjyan recalled the questions on
the political prisoners, persecutions reasoned by political stances,
    limitations of gatherings, marches.

After the speech of Zaruhi Postanjyan, the co-reporter for Armenia
John Prescott opposed her. As the parliamentary member said that
the co-reporter stated that everything is in process and there
is some positive progress. Postanjyan noted that she spoke to the
other co-reporter Colombier and told him that the actions of the
co-reporters create grounds for the Armenian society to think that they
are partial. Moreover, Zaruhi Postanjyan stated that if the situation
in Armenia goes on being this way and the attitude of the co-reporters
does not change, she as a member of the Armenian delegation to PACE
may launch a process and refuse Prescott and Colombier.

In Strasburg, Zaruhi Postanjyan spoke to the UN commissioner for human
rights Tomas Hammamberg who said that the amnesty would be the best
decision for Armenia, as to the "case of seven", Hammamberg said of
being sure that there are not grounded proofs in this case.
