/PanARMENIAN.Net/ On May 7 RA President Serzh Sargsyan met his Azeri
colleague Abdullah Gul in Prague, within Eastern Partnership Summit
    framework.

"Armenian-Turkish negotiations have been launched in 2007. Negotiations
focused on perspectives of Armenian-Turkish border opening as
well as a number of regional issues," Sinan Ogan Head of TURKSAM
Center for International Relations and Strategic Study told
a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter. "Though negotiation details are nor
divulged, nevertheless, it's no secret that parallel negotiations
are conducted for normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations and
    NKR conflict settlement."

"Parallel negotiations are very important and we're glad that Armenian,
Turkish and Azeri Presidents managed to achieve certain progress
both in Armenian-Turkish relations and NKR issue. Despite statements
on preconditions in Armenian-Turkish relations, bilateral ties and
NKR issue are interrelated. It would be hard to imagine one process
    without another," he noted.

Dwelling on NKR issue perspectives, the expert stated, "Prague's
meeting was surely important, but I believe that a real progress in
NKR conflict settlement will be made in St. Petersburg."
