POLICE IS NOT AGAINST ARMING JOURNALISTS

The Armenian Police will not be against if the journalists get the
right to have weapons. The Head of the Department of Criminal
Investigations of the Police, Hovik Tamamyan stated this. Tamamyan
noted that the Police are worried by the numerous assaults against the
journalist. Tamamyan also stated that there had been held a session on
the attacks against the journalists on these days. `We will work day
and night and will do everything possible to reveal those cases.
Believe me', stated Hovhannes Tamamyan. He stated that he is not
against arming the journalists adding that the perpetrators should
know that the journalists have a weapon and may use it.
