Azeri choppers patrol Karabakh front line zone - agency
Agdam, 7 May: Helicopters of Azerbaijan's Air Force are carrying out
flights in Agdam and Agcabadi districts. APA's Karabakh bureau has
reported that helicopter gunships are patrolling the contact line [of
the Azerbaijani and Armenian] troops.
To recap, the Armenian armed forces started a large-scale military
exercise in the occupied areas of Agdam District [of Azerbaijan] at
about 1200 yesterday [0700 gmt 6 May 09]. It is reported that the
helicopter flights are linked to Armenians' drills.
The [Azerbaijani] Defence Ministry press service said in respond to
APA's question that it was possible that military aircraft [as
published] were carrying out planned flights: "However, it is not
correct to link them to Armenians' drills. The Azerbaijani army's all
forces are always combat ready."
