HIGH AWARDS ON THE OCCASION OF THE REPUBLIC DAY

On the occasion of the Republic Day, President Serzh Sargsian bestowed
government awards and titles upon statesmen and representatives of
the spheres of science, culture, art, architecture, health care and
journalism, who were awarded by May 26 decrees of the country's leader.
In his congratulatory message President Serzh Sargsian mentioned, "On
the Republic Day, it has become a good tradition to give high awards
to those, who contribute to the development of our country with their
works and achievements. I am sure that the societies develop thanks
to the work and devotion of such individuals. I sincerely congratulate
the award holders and wish new achievements in their mission".
Title of Honored Art Worker was bestowed upon Levon Abrahamian,
Head of Genealogical Department of the National Academy of Sciences
Institute of Archeology and Ethnography, and Ruben Mirzakhanian, Dean
of the Culture Faculty of the Armenian State Pedagogical Institute
after Kh. Abovian.
Title of Honored Architect was bestowed upon Chairman of the Union
of Architects in Armenia, Professor of Yerevan State University
of Architecture and Construction Mkrtich Minasian and Head of
Architectural Studio of "Yerevannakhagits" SCJSC, Professor of Yerevan
State University of Architecture and Construction Albert Zurabian.
The President bestowed Title of Honored Journalist upon Nver
Mnatsakanian and Armen Khanbabian.
Title of Honored Ensemble was bestowed upon "Berd" Dance Ensemble.
