    INTER RAO UES SUBSIDIARY IN ARMENIA TO GET 64.5 MLN EURO LOAN

    Russian electric power company Inter RAO UES said Wednesday that its
    wholly owned subsidiary in Armenia, Electric Networks of Armenia,
    will receive a 10-year 64.5 million euro loan from the European Bank
    for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and Vnesheconombank.

    The EBRD will disburse a loan worth 42 million euros and
    Vnesheconombank will provide a loan worth 22.5 million euros to
    upgrade electric power grids in Armenia.

    Electric Networks of Armenia is the only seller of electric power in
    Armenia. The company's sales amounted to 186 million euros in 2008.
