    BRIDGE ARTSAKH ECONOMIC FORUM KICKS OFF IN STEPANAKERT

    YEREVAN, June 22. /ARKA/. Bridge Artsakh economic forum kicked off
    last weekend in the capital city of Karabakh.

    The spotlight of the forum was the government-business cooperation,
    the ARKA correspondent in Stepanakert reports.

    Over 300 entrepreneurs, high-ranking officials from Armenia and
    Artsakh, as well as the Armenian Diaspora representatives participated
    in the event.

    The forum aimed at getting better acquainted with the political and
    business circles of Armenia and other countries, as well as showcase
    Karabakh's economic and social capacities.

    A plenary meeting, group workshops and roundtables took place as
    part of the forum. President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR)
    Bako Sahakyan, Armenia's Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan and UMBA
    (Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia) Chairman Arsen
    Ghazaryan spoke at the conference.

    Director of the Artsakh Investment Fund Karen Yesayan made a report
    on Karabakh's investment attractiveness. A presentation on the social
    and economic situation in Karabakh took place as part of the forum.

    The spotlight of workshops was business prospects and existing
    challenges.

    The current business challenges, financial instruments, development
    of the transport system, business education, topical issues on
    agriculture and dynamic tourism development in Artsakh were on the
    agenda of roundtables.

    According to Yesayan, the forum20was an attempt to promote Artsakh's
    economy, attract new investments in the country, as well as bolster
    the government-business ties.

    "Ideas voiced during the forum will be put into practice to boost local
    entrepreneurship, reduce prices, open up new employment opportunities,
    contributing to the country's prosperity and economic independence,"
    Yesayan said.

    The participants at the event had an opportunity to visit the sights
    and enterprises of Karabakh.

    Organized by the MASTER International Integration Assistance Center,
    the Bridge Artsakh economic forum took place under the patronage of
    NKR President Bako Sahakyan. The NKR government assisted the event. The
    Artsakh Investment Fund was the official partner of the forum.--0--
