BY PRELIMARY RESULTS, PAP MEMBER GAGIK MATEVOSIAN ELECTED MAYOR OF NOR HACHN

YEREVAN, AUGUST 3, NOYAN TAPAN. By the preliminary results of the
August 2 elections of the community head in the city of Nor Hachn
(Kotayk marz), Gagik Matevosian - the commercial head of Nakhsh LLC,
member of Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) has been elected mayor.
NT correspondent was informed by Spokeswoman for the RA Central
Electoral Commission Tatev Ohanian that 3,986 out of the 8,317
community voters took part in the voting. 3,678 people voted for the
only candidate for the post of the mayor, 222 voted against. 85 voting
papers were recognized invalid.
