Sargsyan praises RF businessmen of Armenian descent contribution

YEREVAN, September 5 (Itar-Tass) - President Serzh Sargsyan praised
contribution by Russian businessmen of Armenian descent to the
republic's development.
Despite the financial and economic crisis, Russian businessmen of
Armenian descent are successfully carrying out different programmes in
Armenia, Sargsyan said during a meeting with Russian businessmen of
Armenian descent on Saturday.
The meeting involved president of the Union of Armenians of Russia and
chairman of the World Armenian Congress Ara Abramyan, president of
Tashir group of companies Samvel Karapetyan and president of Uniastrum
Bank Gagik Zakaryan.
Sargsyan praised the role played by business in increasing the
prestige of Armenia abroad, preserving Armenia's originality and
strengthening relations with motherland.
He lauded businessmen's readiness to contribute to prosperity and
development of Armenia, the presidential press service reported.
The participants in the meeting also discussed prospects for using the
potential of the Armenian diaspora abroad and stepping up the activity
of organisations abroad.
