INTERIOR DISAGREEMENTS IN THE OPPOSITION HERITAGE PARTY

Arminfo. Sitting of the opposition Heritage party board took
place yesterday evening. Armen Martirosyan, head of the Heritage
parliamentary faction, was elected a new chairman of the party board,
and Stiopa Safaryan- the head of the parliamentary faction.
Moreover, a decision was adopted at the sitting to expel from the
party Zoya Tadevosyan, representative of the Heritage party in Central
Electoral Commission, deputies of the parliament Vardan Khachatryan
and Movses Aristakesyan. The latter had to occupy Raffi Hovannissian's
place after his refusing the deputy mandate.
As for Aristakesyan, he thinks yesterday's sitting of the party was
illegal and was just an imitation, since they did not have the needed
quorum, as Aristakesyan told Arminfo correspondent. 'Only five out of 9
members of the party board, Anahit Bakshyan, Armen Martirosyan, Styopa
Safaryan, Garnik Sahakyan and David Badalyan took part in the sitting
of the board', - he said and added that holding of the illegal sitting
of the party board was initiated by press-secretary of the party Hovsep
Khurshudyan, which is also a member of the party board. Asked if he
does not want to refuse his seat in the parliament after the event,
Aristakesyan replied: 'I will undoubtedly use the trust of the people'.
