THE FORESTS SHOULD BE PRESERVED, BUT...

Today the Minister of RA Nature Protection Ministry Aram Harutyunyan
told the students and pupils gathered in Yerevan Arts' Academy about
the preservations of Armenia, highlighted the importance of the
protection of the forests for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer
and persuaded the students and the children to put trees and take
care of them.
"The forests should be saved and protected; we should double them
and later pass it to our offspring", - said the Minister.
Answering the question of Aysor.am how many forest areas have been
destroyed the Minister answered, - "Not only in Armenia but also in
the whole world if the country has a natural wealth he should use it,
there is no a second view point, but this process should be conducted
so that it would lead to a lesser damage degree. If there are forests
for example over the gold mines so the forests can be cut."
