CAPTAIN TIGRAN AVETISYAN IS AWARDED THE MEDAL OF COURAGE

Armenia's Defense Ministry issued a release contained in particular:
"It is the duty of every soldier to defend and if necessary to extend
a helping hand to those who is in need; he should give others a role
model to emulate; and be a true citizen.
Captain Tigran Avetisyan, Armenia's Armed Forces officer, commanded
a Division Artillery Battery in region of Syunik.
Finishing his working day Captain Avetisyan heard a noise close to
his house. That was his neighbor Vagram Grigoryan's house burning
with three kids inside.
Captain Avetisyan rushed to the scene of the accident and seeing that
exit was blocked knocked out the window and run into fire. He heard
children's voices and took them out, unfortunately not being able to
find a deaf-mute kid, who died in fire.
The affected family will never forget Captain Avetisyan's heroism.
