SAMVEL FARMANYAN: PRESIDENT, POLITICAL FORCES HOLD "OFF-THE-RECORD" MEETINGS

Aram Karapetyan, the leader of the New Times Party broke a preliminary
non-disclosure agreement with the RA President, Samvel Farmanyan,
Press Secretary of the RA President, told NEWS.am.
Under the agreements, the meetings with the Armenian President are held
"off the record." "I find it difficult to explain why Aram Karapetyan
made voiced or actually unvoiced opinions public. You had better know
the answer from him," Farmanyan said. He pointed out it was the third
meeting, but the first case of the agreement being broken.
Yesterday Aram Karapetyan stated that most of the political forces
participating in the meetings with the Armenian President voices
fears about the Armenian Genocide problem and mutual recognition
of borders. According to him, President Serzh Sargsyan shared the
political forces' opinions and promised them to revise the proposals.
The Armenian-Turkish Protocols were initialed on August 31 and are
to be ratified by the Armenian and Turkish Parliaments.
