The second day of his 2-day private visit to Georgia, RA President
Serzh Sargsyan attended a Sunday service at the Surb Prkich (Holy
Savior) Church in Batumi and laid flowers at the cross-stone in
    the yard.

The RA presidential press office informed NEWS.am that President
Sargsyan talked to the representatives of the Armenian community that
    attended the service.

The Armenian and Georgian leaders summed up the visit results.

President Mikhail Saakashvili expressed his satisfaction with the
informal meeting with the Armenian leader in Batumi. He stated: "We
have agreed to integrate our economies, hold more frequent meetings,
exert more efforts to draw our peoples closer to each other, though
the relations are close as it is. The meetings will be more frequent
in the future, which we are doing for our peoples. Our countries are
small, so we need each other. We depend on each other, as we have to
make use of this interdependence for good works," Saakashvili said.

The Armenian leader, in turn, stated: "We must cooperate more closely
and think of integration. I am sure that this year will be a turning
point in our relations, though these relations have always been good.

    We are used to progressing."

The Armenian leader returned to Yerevan on March 1.
